You’ll weave with fine wool yarns and learn traditional tapestry techniques for creating shapes and blending colors such as plain weave, straight and diagonal lines, curves, hatchings, and hachures. You’ll learn about patterns that allow for endless exploration and eccentric (non-horizontal) weaving.

All levels are welcome. If you have some tapestry experience you can try more advanced techniques or bring a design you would like to weave.

I have taught tapestry weaving for over 30 years. I weave com- missioned tapestries as well as my own work, which has been widely exhibited. My work appears in various collections and publications. I studied at the San Francisco Tapestry Workshop and am a member of Tapestry Weavers West and the American Tapestry Alliance.

Maximum 8 students. All materials and equipment will be provided.

Tuition is $250. To reserve your place in the class, please send a check for $50 payable to Tricia Goldberg at the address below. The balance is due on the first day of class.
